Socialite Khloe Kardashian wed Los Angelos Laker star basketball player Lamar Odom on Sunday afternoon, September 27′ 2009 at the Beverly Hills home of music manager Irving Azoff. The couple celebrated their nuptials with 250 invited guest. The couple dated for about a month before deciding to tie the knot. Due to Khloe’s mom, Kris Jenner, acting as PR and manager of Khloe’s future financial interest: the wedding photo’s were sold to the highest bidder, which was OK magazine for a mere $300,000. The $300,000 dollars for the photo’s goes directly into Khloe’s bank account. Lamar is not expected to receive any of the photo money. Let’s call it Khloe’s security money.
Now that the couple is happily married, hopefully there was a prenuptial agreement of some kind, Khloe will have some character, committment, etiquette and trustworthy issues adjusting to do, with a man she knows absolutely nothing about. Lamar is the father of Destiny 11, and Lamar Jr. 7 whom he fathered with Liza Morales, and whom he began dating when she was age 17. He had promised to marry Liza Morales eight years ago and never got around to it, due to commitment issues. Then 2 weeks before Lamar asked Khloe Kardashian for her hand in marriage, he had already proposed to actress Taraji Henson, whom he dated for just over a month. Taraji turned down Lamar’s proposal because she did not want to make a mockery of the sanctity of matrimony.
We saw Khloe on the ”Kourtney and Khloe take Miami” reality show being a bit sad and confused over the fact that she did not accept R&B singer, record producer Omarion Grandberry (whom had been dropped from Young Money Records in August 2009, and received word via twitter message), proposal to go from being very good friends with her to actually dating each other and finding out where a romance between them would lead. Khloe realized she didn’t really understand much about guys feelings, so maybe she figured it would be best to jump in head first the next time the opportunity came around.
Then there is Lamar who won his first NBA championship when the Lakers defeated the Orlando Magic in the 2009 NBA finals, and recently agreed to a four-year deal with the Lakers worth $33 million. Only Lamar Odom is not well known or camera friendly as his friend Kobe Bryant, so what better way to step into the spotlight, than to marry a Kardashian. We wish this newly wed couple much success in their marriage and with learning their new acquired skills to balance their reality of life.
