Kendra Wilkinson, former playboy bunny and girlfriend of Hugh Hefner, tied the knot with football wide receiver Hank Baskett on June 27′ 2009. Kendra wore a $20,000. silk duchess gown,made up of 55 yards of fabric covered in 1200 crystals, which was designed by “Bridal’s Armine Ohanessian” with the help of Kendra’s input. Kendra had a total of 300 guest, including former boyfriend Hugh Hefner, 7 bridesmaids, of which 2 were Holly Madison and Bridget Marquardt from “The Girls Next Door”. The new couple had a lavish reception and the chosen wedding dance song was “I Cross My Heart” by George Strait’s.
Kendra and Hank have not known each other for a very long time and they both both will have a bit of adjusting to do toward each others habits, character, and personal lifestyle. A very 5 month’s pregnant Kendra revealed that Hank does not know what he is getting into by marrying her, because they both come from 2 different world’s. She seems to take pleasure in going overboard in pushing Hank’s buttons. Kendra is immature, loud, wild, lacks respect, nor is she the most organized or domestically clean person. Hank is the opposite of everything Kendra naively and jokingly accepts as being real.
Kendra’s mom and grandmother are disappointed in Kendra’s decision to get pregnant and married, after her sheltered 3 plus years run since the age of 18, with daddy figure Hugh Hefner, her not taking the opportunity to grow up, live independently outside the Playboy Mansion, set goals and learn to become responsible for the personal choices she makes in her life. They have accepted Kendra’s decision to marry Hank Baskett and must have realized that Kendra can only be the Kendra she knows how to be; an inexperience in life issues young woman whom has only known the security and comfort of a man in her life who provides for her.
Hank on the other hand is overwhelmed by Kendra’s beauty, her sportsmanship, her attention and interest in him, and will certainly be placed in a position of having to compromise in their relationship, but like Hank has admitted; ”I have never been happier in my life.” Kendra may not receive high scores for her moral values, etiquette or domestic abilities, but the greatest thing that Kendra did was to leave an x-rated lifestyle behind, finally have a man of her own, create her own reality script, get married and receive the Holy blessings of matrimony, which cleanses her of her past, helps her to earn respect and prepares her for a parental future.
