Kanye Omari West, a world class hip hop artist and music producer was born into a middle class background.  His mother, Dr. Donda West, was an English professor at Clark University and his father, Ray West, was a former black panther, and one of the first black photo journalist, now he works as a Christian counselor.  Kanye’s parents divorced when he was 3 years old and he relocated to Chicago with his mom who later retired and became his manager.

Kanye West dropped out of college due to poor grades and his sole passion for music.  He did not have an easy start in the music industry.  He was pushed aside by many record companies becausehe did not appear to be, nor was he the stereotypical street smart hip hop artist who was the face of rap music at that time.   After Kanye’s near fatal car crash in October 2002, he was inspired to write his first released single “Through The Wire”.

Kanye claimed that hip hop is about speaking your mind and breaking down barriers, and cannot understand why everyone in hip hop discriminates against gay people. This would explain Kanye’s bold move around town hanging out with his new girlfriend Amber Rose.  Kanye went through a stressful time losing his mother in November 2007, due to cosmetic surgery, and then in August 2008, he broke up with his girlfriend of over a year, Alexis Phifer a fashion designer.  Their relationship came to a quiet halt, after deciding to remain friends.

With two strong women out of Kanye West personal life and his continuous struggle to fit in with a society of hip hop hardcore guys, his recent endorsement by Loius Vuitton, an overblown ego, his crafty signature music sampling style, and his desire to present the real side of Kanye West creative side, by launching his clothing line called: “Past Tell”, brings us closer to understanding why he would be attracted to Amber Rose.

Amber Rose is a music video vixen, whom has been in a gay relationship for six years and has no fear of flaunting her bi-sexual personality. What better person for Kanye West to hangout with, to help him deal and get through  his transformation period, and come to terms with his inner struggle of the type of man he truly is, with an opportunity to present himself to the hip hop world other than being perceived as a nerd.  Kanye faces discrimination against what he believes and is readily seeking approval from his peers.  Amber Rose sets the tone and style for Kanye West violent outburst, rude behavior and his  arrogant words:  ” There’s nothing that can stop me now!”,  which was uttered from his lips soon after losing his mom.
