Dina Manzo  is the younger sister of Caroline Manzo, and she is also one of the housewives of  ”The Real Housewives of New Jersey” reality show.  Dina Manzo is married to Tommy Manzo, who runs the Brownstone catering facility with his brother Albert Manzo, who is Caroline’s husband.  Dina has a teenage daughter Alexia, from a previous marriage with whom she has a very strong maternal bond.  Dina is a creative and skilled interior designer by trade, whom has turned her talents into a successful event planning company, and she also founded the charitable organization “Project Ladybug”, which helps children with cancer at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital.

 Most of what we have seen of Dina Manzo on  ”The Real Housewives of New Jersey”  reality show, is her having some kind of verbal drama about Danielle Staub,  another housewife on the show with a sordid, drug abusive past.  Dina and Danielle seemed to have a great dislike for each other and the accusation was that Dina had produced a book written about Danielle  ”Cop Without A Past”,  which described Danielle’s past and how she abused cocaine and was arrested for accessory to kidnapping.  Danielle accused Dina of showing the book  around town to people that knew her.  We could not figure out why Dina felt threatened by Danielle, until we got an eye full of Tommy and Dina’s wedding on “My Big Fat Fabulous Wedding“  video at Brides.com.

 Dina’s mysterious husband Tommy whom has never showed his face on the reality show was quite a character.  It certainly would not be a surprise if Caroline Manzo played matchmaker in getting Dina, her sister, and Tommy her husbands brother involved.  Tommy admitted to having to marry Dina, because she hung in there with his cheating and boyish stunts for 5 years.  Tommy and Dina are certainly not a match for each other.  Dina is attractive, caring, has a big heart, very sensitive with a nervous personality and dead eyes, and Tommy Manzo on the other hand is a real untamed ladies man. 

Tommy Manzo is  quite the sexy Italian character, he is outgoing and showy, displayed his financial power to impress his friends, invited people Dina did not know about to their expensive wedding, made sure he got what he wanted and showed little concern for Dina’s choice of flowers, or wedding song.  Tommy  does pretty much what he wants, and really does not care what anyone thinks of him.  He is New Jersey’s connected big shot who did not have a problem admitting on camera that he cheated on Dina a few times.  If  Dina could not make her first marriage to Alexia’s father work, then it is unimaginable how she is going to tame a casanova like Tommy Manzo.

Dina may be an over protective mom and loves her daughter  Alexia very much, but the fact here is that Dina is alone.  She was alone in her first marriage and it is evident that workaholic Tommy does not have any time for her.  Dina has a need to hold on to Alexia, because  Alexia has always been there for her whenever her world begins to crumble.  With a hot, will stop at nothing to sexually satisfy any man type of woman like Danielle in Dina’s world, why would she not feel threatened.  Danielle on the another hand knows that a woman like Dina cannot and will not know how to satisfy the hunger and sex drive  of a brazen bad boy like Tommy Manzo.    

Dina made a decision to stay home and be a full-time mom to her teenage daughter Alexia, this decision did not sit to well with Caroline.  Dina thinks that by staying at home she will have more bonding and play time for Alexia and Tommy, but when Tommy’s irresistible ego gets thirsty again, what will Dina do sitting at home in a huge house with endless hours nursing a runaway imagination.  Cry again, what else is there to do.  The ink is dry and the marital swap of unlimited credit card spending for marital security is done.
