Alex McCord is the youngest cast member of “The Real Housewives of New York City” reality show. She was born in Washington D.C., is a working career woman, who recently lost her job at Fortune 500 retailing company. Alex worked in the visual merchandising department for Limited Brands/Victoria Secrets. Alex is also the wife of Simon van Kempen, General Manager of the Hotel Chandler in New York City, and a mother of 2 boys, Francois and Johan. Alex is now self-employed and working as a consultant for Second Time Around, a luxury consignment chain.
Alex McCord and husband Simon van Kempen appeared as being the weirdest married couple on the reality show. Their sense of style , manner in raising their children and general attitude did not seem to fit in with the rest of the cast members or their viewers traditional lifestyle. That we believe can be attributed to Simon’s Australian heritage. During season 1 of the reality show Simon seemed to overshadow Alex spotlight on the show, but the laid back and quiet Alex came to life in the 2nd season of “The Real Housewives of New York City” as she also demonstrated her visual artistic and creative skills with Bethenny Frankel.
What we have seen of Alex and Simon on the reality show has led us to believe that the couple are very much in love with each other and Alex has completely merged her heart, mind, body and soul with Simon van Kempen and his weird ways, they both dance unconditionally to the same tune, which is why the relationship is such a success. Simon is not gay and Alex is not a lesbian, but both were spotted at a gay splash in Manhattan, N.Y. Alex decided to pose nude after the birth of her second son Johan, to make a point that at her age and after becoming a mom again, she still had an incredible body.
Sources revealed that Alex received a mere $100. dollars for another year old photo shoot she did , which Simon attended, when she answered a Craigslist call for nude models wearing only a Mardi Gras mask , you know the Craigslist free classified website which was in the news about their ongoing prostitution advertisers posing as nannies or housekeepers, well the photo’s looked cheap and raunchy, lacks class and taste and cheapened Alex purpose for doing the shoot, or is that what Alex is really all about?
Simon on the other hand is not bothered by Alex nude pictures surfacing on the internet, Alex does not care, and considers it a non-issue. Simon says: to embrace it, he finds the photo’s amazing and he is proud of his wife’s body. Photo with Alex in her Mardi Gras buff is not available.
