Lauri Waring of ”The Real Housewives of Orange County” reality show recently married her fiance, George Peterson, a real estate tycoon, who has 4 children by a previous marriage. Lauri has 3 children of her own, Ashley 22, Brian 18, and Sophie 9 years old. Lauri and Sophie moved into their new home with George and 3 of his 4 children. Ashley we understand moved in briefly, but returned to her apartment to live with brother Josh, who is on drugs and is having a terrible time coping with his life.
Josh never had a chance to be a son to Lauri, the way a young boy thinks about his mom being a single mom and how he would like to grow up and become a man to help and protect his mother, if he could. There was no male role model around long enough for Josh to bond with, also being a child that could analyze life and see the realities that were not so open to others made life more stressful when it came to connecting with his mom. Lauri is the one person whom Josh looked up to, but could never really command her attention. Lauri Waring was desperately searching for herself in every man that she met. What she wanted and felt would make her happy took priority over her children.
Josh problems with drugs is the result of his not being able to connect or communicate with Lauri on a level where he felt needed and secure. Josh said in his therapy session: Lauri does not understand what the problem is, and we can see clearly from her attitude with Ashley that Lauri does not really want the headache of truly finding out what her children needs are.
When Lauri asked Ashley why she did not sign up for college classes, Ashley broke down and cried. How could Ashley explain to her mother what her problems are, when Lauri does not have a clue about what Ashley is feeling and trying to explain to her. Ashley getting her own apartment or financial help from Lauri is not always what a child is looking for.
We have heard Lauri say that she does not want the children in her business, but what exactly is her business? Searching for a man that can financially deliver and then making sure her children are kept as far as possible while she begins a new life with new husband, George Peterson, which is a pattern that Josh admitted they had already gone through several times. Ashley explains to Lauri that she is starting her own skincare line with a friend of hers who knows much more about the skincare business, then she does, which is also Ashley’s way of letting Lauri know that she is moving on and placing her focus into a current passion, where she can nurture it and be in control of the outcome. Lauri remarks behind Ashley’s back that she doesn’t think that Ashley knows what she is doing and she does not think that she can do it. Whatever happened to ”I will support you in anything creative that makes you happy, and I know you can do it Ashley”
Lauri Waring goes on to say in her blog that Josh did drugs to hurt her and she thinks Josh wanted to hurt George. Lauri also says she thinks Josh was lured in with free rent in lieu of being a weapon to hurt her relationship with George. All we hear is about Lauri being hurt, but what about the hurt she unconsciously dished out over the years totally clueless to the effect of her children’s feelings. Lauri Warings actions says so much more about her unsuspecting selfish attitude toward Ashley and Josh.
It is the questions she chooses to ask, or the things that she says that lets her children know that she is totally off key. A little encouragement at the right moment and time can last for a lifetime, when children are growing up, or already grown and feeling a little insecure about their direction and ambitions in life, especially when it comes from a parent. If you only knew!

I hear that the Real Housewives of Orange County get their Sushi Catered in by Yama Sushi On The Lake in Mission Viejo that promotes that they Food Cater to Coto De Caza. Thus, it could happen or maybe not. When I go to Yama’s restuarant, I look for celebrities, just in case.
