Rihanna’s “Disturbia” reminds us of a visit to our subconscious mind, where our destiny is clearly mapped out, but we are just to unaware to figure it out; and everything looks and sounds like a foreign language. When all that we see around us turns dark and what we feel within secretly disturbs us, then we are unknowingly withdrawing from all that can adversely harm us. Many times our disturbia is an alert to reassure us, that what we may feel naturally is our path in life, is really not worth the sacrifice. When we take the time to calm our mind enough, to remove the rose tinted glasses: We will clearly come to realize that we have won this round, and saved ourselves from merging into a path of darkness. Rihanna’s “Disturbia” is really an enlightenment of the mind.
